Brigitte Lahaie censurée

Brigitte Lahaie is portrayed here with a nod to the censorship associated with the X rating of adult films. The foundation of the piece is identical to that of Brigitte Lahaie Silver Scarf, but here the entire composition bursts with color. As always, metallic paints take center stage—one of my favorite techniques—enhanced with line drawings referencing the iconic PLAYBOY from the pivotal 1980s era, a broken heart, and her luscious lips. The base was created using a palette knife and layered with multiple coats of glaze for added depth and luminosity.
